Basics Concepts of Statistical Power

Statistical power is the probability that a statistical test will show a result to be significant if it is.  In designing studies power calculations are useful to determine necessary sample size for an effective study.  The presentation will briefly cover the conceptual basis of power, SAS PROC POWER, and a marketing example.

Basic Concepts of Logistic Regression

Logistic regression is a type of regression analysis often used to predict a dichotomous outcome based on multiple predictors.  Logistic regression assigns a predicted probability for a case belonging to the outcome of interest.  This brief presentation will cover the use of logistic regression, SAS PROC LOGISTIC, and a marketing example.

Mike Oliansky has been a SAS programmer and analyst since the previous century(!).  His experience has been mostly in automotive marketing with sojourns in pharmaceutical, health insurance, and automotive credit positions.
