SAS III: Advanced SAS Programming
This course looks at basic efficiency issues, accessing data, saving space by compressing SAS data sets, saving time by indexing SAS data sets, table lookup techniques, advanced DATA step processing, and advanced utility operations.
Intermediate SQL Processing
This course is a sequel to the Intro to SQL course. It goes into more detail on some of the more complex queries. It follows a scenario of building a data mart for a Customer Relationship Management application.
Manipulating Data with Numeric Functions, DO Loops and Arrays
This course is a half day course that gives an in-depth look at the DATA Step with a focus on Numeric Functions, DO Loops and Arrays, and how to create them, how they work, and how to manipulate data with them.
Advanced Enterprise Guide
This course covers some of the more advanced features in Enterprise Guide such as:
- Creating Stored Processes
- Creating all kinds of prompts
- Applying conditional logic in executing parts of the project
- Creating tabular reports
- Creating formats
About the Instructor
After more than 11 years with SAS Institute in the Professional Services (as an Instructor) and Marketing Departments (as Marketing Manager for the SAS/EIS product), Ben Cochran left to start his own consulting and SAS Training business in the fall of 1996 – The Bedford Group. As an affiliate member of SAS Institute’s Alliance Partner Program, Ben has been involved in many teaching and consulting projects over the last 10 years. Ben has authored and presented several papers at SUGI, SGF, and regional user groups on a variety of topics since 1988.
