Hierarchical Linear Models Using PROC MIXED - Jeremy Albright, Methods Consultants of Ann Arbor
Statistical models for
clustered data are now standard in the social sciences, but understanding how
to carry out estimation using commercial software is not always
straightforward. This training class discusses hierarchical
linear models as a special case of linear mixed models and shows how to use
SAS’s PROC MIXED to fit them.
Cross-sectional and longitudinal examples from education research will
be used to illustrate SAS syntax, and interpretation will focus on
understanding the difference between fixed and random effects.
