MSUG Occasional Papers
MSUG members may wish to contribute a paper for posting to the MSUG website rather than give a webinar presentation. These contributed papers will be posted on this page. Some MSUG members might not have time to prepare a webinar (developing PowerPoint slides, rehearsing, etc.) but may want to participate in sharing their thoughts via MSUG Occasional Papers.
Here are some examples of where a paper is preferred to giving a webinar:
The MSUG Board hopes to post at least one paper per month. Although the policy for the duration of posting is subject to change, the papers are likely to remain posted for at least a year from acceptance. You can also post comments to the MSUG LinkedIn page.
Here are some examples of where a paper is preferred to giving a webinar:
- The paper is too short for a webinar presentation (e.g., 10-minute read)
- The paper is too specialized for a presentation (i.e., of interest only to specialists)
- The paper is primarily “statistical” with only few references to SAS procedures and code
